Our continued success has given rise to one of the best milestones obtainable by any gaming clan and one that high-end World of Warcraft guilds are certainly no stranger: Sponsorship!
It is my great pleasure to announce that Vox Immortalis has now received its first sponsor: DORITOS! The press release can be found below:

Courtesy of Doritos' recent Snackstrong ad campaign, parent company Frito-Lay has been breaking out into the e-Sports community with ferocity, looking for sponsorship opportunities from all types of gamers who enjoy the fantastic line of Doritos products, including those from our very own World of Warcraft! For those a little more curious how this came about, I'll give you some more detail of how they came in contact with me as the representative of Vox and what this means for our members moving forward!
As many of you know, I live in Southern Washington State and in fact for many years, lived only a few blocks from a massive Frito-Lay location here in Vancouver (http://g.co/maps/xgcpa). Early last month I read about a few other WoW guilds and SC2 players who had been contacted by Frito-Lay on behalf of this Snackstrong program and having known a good friend since early childhood that worked at the Frito-Lay plant, I contacted him for more details about the program. He put me in touch with his contact in their main office in Texas and after a brief conversation to explain who I was, and a little about Vox and what our gaming history was via World of Warcraft, the response was very positive and he began the process to include us in the Snackstrong contributors!
What does this mean for Vox?
The biggest and most exciting change is that Vox Immortalis has changed our name to better represent our sponsor and will now be called "Vox Immortalis by Doritos" (I was told most clans use the format "Doritos presents XYZ" but given the character limit for guild names in WoW, the "by Doritos" format was approved.)
I have already purchased the name change and according to the Battle.net site it will take a couple days to process, but otherwise we're all set to begin our sponsorship immediately!
I cannot discuss the specifics of our contract in a public post, but I can let you all know that Doritos Snackstrong has agreed to provide the top 15 players a small monetary allotment plus a limited-supply each month of Doritos products (read: chips!). Given that our raid team is only 10-members strong and since I've done most the work on creating the video content and guild management, I've decided to retain the remaining 5-players' worth of benefits, which I think seems fair.
Can I do anything else to show my Snackstrong support?
Yes! I realize it may take some getting used to to become accustomed to a sponsored Guild tag, but for those willing to go the extra mile, Doritos is also willing to offer an additional one-time allotment for any Vox member willing to change his or her name to meet their sponsorship requirements. I can't give the allotment details here, but feel free to whisper me or PM me and I'll fill you in, but suffice to say it's worth far more than the name change cost.
Common naming formats for characters or handles include: DoritosName, NameDoritos, SnackstrongName, NameSnackstrong, or a similar combination using brackets/periods as separators. Again, contact me for more details if you are interested.
I hope everyone is as excited about this opportunity as I am and I look forward to our continued relationship with Doritos Snackstrong as we enter Mists of Pandaria!
